- Performing Risk Assessments & Evaluations
The Working Conditions Act requires that you perform a Risk Assessment and Evaluation (RA&E). You define on paper which risks apply to your staff. Additionally you define risk reducing measures plus the risks for special staff categories. The RA&E can be further defined in detail to suit a TRA . Disc has the knowledge and capability to carry out this step for you in a professional manner.

- Developing Plans & Procedures
Your safety policy is either a success or failure depending on a plan of action. No matter whether a plan of action is intended to be a follow-up to the Risk Assessment & Evaluation (see above), an in-house BHV or a Health & Safety Plan for building sites, Disc has in-depth experience in the development of these types of documents.

- Support on Teaching and Instruction
No policy without fundamental knowledge and communication. Formulating the policy is one thing, but it also has to be implemented. This mostly requires primary training, instructions, and additional training. For this, Disc can help in many ways from the development of specific job instructions to supplying course lecturers.

- Performing Safety Inspections
Trust is good, but checks continue to be necessary, even in controlling your safety policy. You are even indirectly required to demonstrate that inspections are taking place. A structured inspection by an independent expert partner can be a good solution. Here, too, Disc can help.

- Performing Incident Investigations
Incidents are “all undesired events in which there is potential or actual damage inflicted upon people or equipment”. Incident investigations serve to prevent repeat occurrences by determining control measures. Disc is experienced in all the current investigation methods and, thus, can handle this structurally and pragmatically for you.

- Development and Implementation of Management Systems
A management system develops processes and makes them controllable. Frequently used (acknowledged) systems falling under Disc’s expertise are the VCA -, ISO- and OHSAS systems. Additionally, Disc has a self-developed, integrated management system named “Uniek” and an automated management system from Disc Inc. 1stCLAS ® available. However, you can also come to us for the development and/or implementation of your own management system.

- Performing Audits
If you want to have your management systems certified, then you will need to run an audit via a certification organization. A check on the protocols of the selected system (e.g. VCA or ISO) will have to then determine whether you meet the system requirements. Disc is not exactly a certification organization, but we do have the knowledge and capability in house to perform these types of audits as interim evaluations or as preparation for the certification audit. Our consultants are also able to assist you during the certification audit.
